I'm off to trawl through the Singapore Airlines website, but I just wondered if anyone already knew whether babies get a luggage allowance?

I'm planning on using someone's suggestion of taking an extra suitcase home to fill up with UK stuff.:D

To answer my own question:

Singapore Airlines website (NZ/UK - Feb 2007):

Weight allowances for checked baggage are as follows:
First Class: 40 kg (88 lb)
Business Class: 30 kg (66 lb)
Economy Class: 20 kg (44 lb)

Infants are entitled to 10 kg (22 lb) of checked baggage. In addition, a fully collapsible stroller or pushchair, carrycot, and infant food may be checked without charge.

Perhaps if he smiles sweetly, they let him go over!
