Just curious...has anybody used Golden Homes or another similiar company to build on your section? What was the experience like?

Hi,
I've not used Golden Homes yet ( we have just bought 2 acres and will be building with them soon ) I know 4 or 5 people who have used them this past year and have been really happy with them.
We haved looked at lots of building companies and decided on Golden Homes mainly because it was so highly recommended, you get alot of 2m for your $, double glazing is standard, good quality kitchen & appliances are standard.
We want to do a lot of work ourselves to save on costs and they are more than happy for us to do it.
My husband is doing all the electrics in the house & putting the power in (this is his line of work) plus we will be decorating it ourselves. This will save $1000.00's so we can then put a good heating system in ect
We've not signed anything yet, just waiting on a few quotes to price in the water tank ect.
You can spend more have a more flash looking house regards to the design but at the end of the day a brick & tile house will always hold it's value.
I'll let you know how we get on.
