We have submitted our ITA and lost point down to 75 now. Status on web say we have submitted EOI and that is it!!! No mention of our ITA status.Or EOI sucessful, totally confused.
Case offficer last words on emails were
Please note I believe the quickest resolution would be to satisfy me regarding the work experience and the job offer.
Are we in the pool again or are we still at ITA stage and will sending documents to satisfy them complete our application??
Has anyone else been in a similiar situation

Sorry to hear about your troubles! I would think that if they threw you back in the EOI pool, they would say so.
From your CO's comments, he needs strong verifcation of claims you have made regarding work experience and a job offer. Once these are verified, your application (ITA) should be approved....Maybe you didn't supply enough proof when you submitting your ITA or you left this proof out of your ITA info?? I would forward him the relevant docs ASAP and think positive thoughts that the ITA will go through!
Get on it!!! :raebanana Make it happen!! And good luck!

I thought as much just checking I had not missed it in the very very large email he sent.
Thanks for your reply. We did email immigrations first before we sent our ITA re OH not having enough to support his work history, we worked on the basis that it was going to take more than the time we had to get all of it. So we sent it in before the cut off date hoping it would result in a more definate 'what they wanted' rather than getting stuff from all over Europe that was not necessary. One agency has already said they will sen dus stuff of job contracts and job title, so hope that satisfies them.
Its proof of contracting they need, then they will accept the job offer here and gain the 50 points extra we need. They have accepted proof of his work experience.

Glad to hear that some of it is falling into place. If he sent you a long email, you definitely want to read and reread it to make sure you understand what he wants and then be sure to comply with everything he needs.
Most here on the board say that one should send more than what you feel is expected because most of the time, immigration wants more!! I think sometimes people make claims about experience to get selected, then as it turns out they had lots of wishful thinking and couldn't support the points. I'm sure your CO is just doing his job in this regard.
I understand that you needed to send your ITA with less info to beat the deadline--that would have been the sure death of your application had you missed the deadline. Now you have bought some more time, so assure your CO that you are gathering every scrap of data he needs to see that all the points you claimed are indeed legit.
Best of luck.

Angela - sorry to hear its still not plain sailing!
I agree with Chris - re-read the letter - just to make sure. In fact - I hope this doesnt sound like a really silly idea - but print it out - go through it with a highlighter. Highlight ANYTHING where he asks you for stuff, and then type it out in a new list.
Im thinking this should help clarify exactly what you need to do. I find sometimes that emails and letters from NZIS are quite hard to understand - I think becasue the know all this tuff like the back of thier hands - and so sometimes they dont realise that they havent explained things clearly to us mere mortals!
I really cant help with any other advise - becasue the system has changed so much since I went through it.
But good luck - ill be thinking of you.

I'm just guessing based on personal experience, but it seems that they may be giving you time to gather your proof, they did this for us for 10 days before they declined our EOI. Until the 10 days expired, our status read "selected" Maybe it's the same for your situation, even though you are further along. I hope you can find info to satisfy them. Can you call your case officer and see if there is a deadline? Good luck with everything!

Hi Angela,
Sorry to hear about this stuff going on with NZIS.
We had something similar. We had submitted our EOI and claimed points for work experience, only to be told we weren't entitled to because we did not have a job offer. I phoned NZIS and was told that we had about 10 days ( I think) to appeal or provide evidence of other points or they would put us back in the pool. We were fortunate and could get more points for some stuff that we hadn't claimed for. ( I have a degree but did it part time and didn't think that it would count) and are about to submit the ITA. Don't give up
- Give them a ring on the "normal number" or email and ask for further advice.
Good luck

Well you have got me all worried up. We have had EOI selected with 130 pts 31 Jan and have points for work experience but do not have a job offer. This i feel is a silly requirement from NZIS because nobody is going to offer you a job as this stage of the process!!! Or am I just being stupid???

Thanks for all your advice.
OK I wrote back to him and listed everything I though he wanted us to supply, so if I had missed anything he woudl say or added anything he did not want. I said I would email soft copies and then post hard copies after. Plus this gives us the chance to check if they are enough.
His reply was that he will NOT recognise my work with an employers letter saying I needed skills.
Basically we have to get the turkish police report translated. Documents supporting OH contracting to get 125 points. Hence the quote from him THE FASTEST route.
It was just seeing the web site back to submitted EOI that I freacked out:laugh
We have so far contacted Dept of Internal affairs to get translated doc. $45 takes 7 days.
Copies of 2 contracts during out time in Cyprus and 1 really old one in Munich for OH. Plus another agent who is skiing will send stuff when he gets back relating to 3 contrating jobs he worked at.
All takes time with the post. Has anyone else had post take more than 6 weeks from UK??? When it was on 1 week posted cost.

actually quite a few people have job offers before going. its certainly not unheard of. but the whole point of this check is just to make sure that your qualifications match the category you are getting skills shortage points for. so long as they do you have no need to worry (though it is yet more expense on an already expensive process!)

My husband was offered job BEFORE we start EOI progress....then ITA....then PR 2 weeks after ITA submitted. But before we flew out to New Zealand for job interviews, we checked how many points do we have with or without job offer...so we were prepared and the company my husband work for happy to wait.
