Hiya,

After a recent thread I posted on Central Heating (lots of useful info, thanks). I was thinking, we have a few oil filled electric radiators at home - are we allowed to bring them in a container?

Are they very expensive in NZ? I was thinking of maybe investing a couple more in the UK if they are expensive in NZ, or maybe buying electric ones.

BRING THEM

You can just change the plug, I bought some from the warehouse in the sale and they were still $59

They are great for keeping off the chill and warming the bedrooms.

and mine have a timer on them which saves electricity.

When I first got here we bought a halogen type one - fat load of use! the oil ones work well and I will be getting another as soon as they start selling them again. :nice1

I keep thinking of all the great things I could buy here because they're cheap, and then take with us when we move. I keep forgetting that NZ is on 230 and not 110.

GRRRRRRRRR.

Maybe I'll just keep looking for a house with central heating ...
