Everyone,

It seems that the IT Skill Shortage will not be over anytime in the near future. In fact the recent in this recent statement from the SSC it seems that the shortage will be a bit tighter over the next several years.

I thought those of you with IT skills would find this article of interest:

I can't say I think this level of spending by the Government will do anything to help inflation or other current economic problems but it may help get a few of you over the Equator.

Very interesting article. Though, I should note that spending less on IT per head than the US, for example, isn't necessarily a bad thing. We have some of the worst governance and controls on IT spending, and the amount our government spends on IT is out of control.

This is good to know - thanks Jonathon. Both Gareth and I are in IT and as we won't be able to make the move for another 12 months, its nice to know our skills will still be needed :)
