Tried the MAF site, totally time consuming, not got the time, so it is up to our forum buddies to help - again!
We have just bought an solid oak table. I think it is perfectly o.k. to import, even though we are told it has to be oiled. I don't think this classes as untreated wood products as I know you oil and wax certain woods to keep their beauty.
Any info/thoughts on this one???
Thanks in advance.

Wicker baskets eg laundry baskets etc any thing that hasn't been painted or
varnished, pine cones such as in decorations, we were told this by the shipping agent when they came to give us a quote yesterday. Hope this helps.

Table will be fine, I'm sure. As well as mentioned above, another thing to avoid is 'conservatory furniture' - wicker chairs etc. Remember any pine cones etc that are attached to Christmas decorations, door wreaths etc

Just make sure the shippers only list it as 'table' - and it won't be a problem!
Steve have you already downloaded and printed off a copy of the MAF forms you will have to fill in this end? I would if i were you - much easier to do it when stuff is being packed and still fresh in the memory than two months later when you have gone through some huge upheavals!
Will go and see if I can find the link and post it back on this thread!
Here it is guys - would highly recommend having a read and completing the form in rough to have with you whe nyou get here - DON'T PACK IT IN THE CONTAINER!!!!:D

Ah - that explains why hamper part of our hamper which we posted to relatives in NZ was confiscated, and there was me worrying it would be the fruit cake that got stopped! Useful infor for the move though - many thanks.

It's me that must apologise Zardell - and me only a 'junior' too! It's the 'over and out' that got me - straight from the movies, and that's the only time you'll ever hear it! Or is the joke that you already know that?
As I said before, sorry - got the pedantic head on today.
