Hi All,

I've seen this mentioned in a couple of posts before but wanted to see if there are any definitive answers. Once the ITA is complete what advantage is there in taking it to NZIS in London in person? Is it simply that they check it and tell you that it's completed correctly with the correct evidence or are there further advantages, such as time?

Thanks,

Mark. :P

Hi Mark

We hand-carried ours - I felt the benefit to us was to meet with the case worker face-to-face so they could put a face to your application but also to ensure they understood all of the documents we'd taken in and to get their response in person on how long things would take.

We thought it would be touch and go on getting our PR by beginning of January so I had every other conceivable visa form completed and signed with all documentation just incase we had to get another one to tide us over until PR came through.

It was also piece of mind - especially with all your identity documents - although living less than an hour outside London I'm not sure if I'd have travelled down from other parts of the country if I lived a long way away...

Hi Mark

We live in Staffordshire, a day trip to London would have turned out to be a costly thing for us (because the temptation of us all going for a day out, lunch out, west end shopping etc would have been far too much to resist). We decided to send our application by recorded next day delivery.

We got written confirmation back within about 4 days that everything had been received and was correct, which I was happy about because our entire lifes history & documents were in that package.

So for those of you who are worried because the option of hand delivering your application isn't open to you - remember to send it recorded or registered - or even DHL - and you won't have any problems.

Thanks guys,

I was thinking that maybe hand delivering sped up the process, looks like that isn't the case.
