It's a silly question, I guess, but regarding NZ weather, I've heard lots of talk about rain that comes out of no where to drizzly rain that lasts for days.

Do these rain bouts normally come with good old fashioned thunder and lightening? I don't mind a good thunderstorm once in a while, as we are having one here in WV at the moment (usually a summer time thing--not February!)

Been here since 31st october...we not yet had any thunderstorm :no so i don't know if we ever get it unless happening tonight! weather been very hot for last three days....

We do indeed get thunderstorms, have had several in the year or so we have been here.

The heavy rain is indeed like no other heavy rain you have seen before..
