Can anyone "on the ground" let me know how much carpentry/kitchen fitting work there is around Tauranga/Bay area?
PS what's the fishing like round there?? :roll

in Whitianga on the Coromandel peninsular.
I cant comment on Tauranga area, but just up the road ;) in sunny Whitianga there seems to be loads of work available for any body in the building trades. It is a great place to live, IMO, and has the added bonus of having some of the best fishing in New Zealand.
One (major?) downside to this area is that hourly rates dont tend to be quite as high as in the more populated regions, and housing is expensive by NZ standards.
