I had to think long and hard about how to make that title sound like I was anything other than a kidnapper! Anyway, we are planning on moving when our kids are just turning 4 (twins, yes). Does anyone else have kids about this age and can give me tips on how to make the transition easier? I actually think they will handle it better than we will! And will probably make friends faster, since they will be off to school. But as a parent, it's on my mind.
PS. Anyone in Welly with little ones, I'd love to hear what there is in the area for kids to enjoy.

Hello
Our three were 3, 16mths and 6mths when we moved here. I was not overly concerned about the youngest two, more the eldest when we moved here.
He had a couple of wobbly days when we first moved out of our old house in with our parents, but soon got over them. Since arriving here in NZ he has been fine, no wobbles, just 100% settled.
When we arrived, I got him into childcare a couple of mornings, 1 because we had very few toys, 2 because he needed a change from me and two brothers and 3 because I wanted him to start mixing with other kiwi's asap, oh and 4 it gave me two mornings to run around like a headless chicken!!
He has also recently started at Kindy, we also attend a playgroup (a bit like a parent and toddler group) one morning a week.
Your twins will not start school until their 5th Birthday and so it may be worth looking into Kindergartens in the interim, depends how 4 they will be!
Hope this helps, let me know if you need anything further.
Amanda
