Just checked the site today and, we've been selected from the pool!

:raebanana

It says they will conduct some preliminary checks to determine whether the claim is accurate. Following the checking, we may be invited to apply for Residence.

Question is, do we need to do anything else now? Or do we just wait for the next stage? Is it worth getting meds/police checks etc?

congrats on selection.

remember police checks and meds take time but I would wait for confirmation in writing

Well done.
May be worth getting the police check done. We have and are waiting on the Invite before we book the expensive medicals. In the UK the check acceptable is a request to the police for info held on you under the Data Protection Act and they are allowed up to 40 days to reply. It costs £10 per adult.

Congrats Mr TW - remember that feeling well - the first stage on the journey.

We went ahead and had our police checks done when selected but didn't book the medicals until we received the actual ITA, just in case anything went wrong at that stage.

Yes, well done........I remember that feeling too !!

One thing that I would start to do now if I were you, is to make sure that you have all the necessary documentation that you will need to provide to NZIS as the proof of your claimed points in your EOI. IE Diplomas, City & Guilds, Full Birth Certificates, Proof of Partnership etc.

I would definitely sort out your police checks (ours took 40 days to the day !) and no harm in ringing your local Panel Doctor to find out how long his waiting list is.

You're on your way...........:nice1

Noticed on the NZIS site today that our selection checks have now been completed and our EOI is successful. They are now in the process of sending an ITA out

Any excuse to post a banana ;)

Wow - that was quick. They really are starting to get a wriggle on. :D If you haven't already I would start collating all the necessary documentation and arranging medicals etc. in readiness for the ITA.

Kids passport applications, and police check forms have just gone in the post.

Cheers guys and hello nippa and pippa - small world we've targeted chch too ;)

More good news this morning, although the speed has taken me by surprise

our ITA has arrived !!!!!

banana time again, although I am well shocked. I wan't expecting it until around June (going by everyone elses timing in their sigs). If we'd picked up the letter from the post office on time it would have been 3 weeks from EOI submit to ITA received!
