Thank you everyone for you congratulations. At some points this whole episode has gone as smooth as can be, then you suddenly get stuck in the mud wondering if things are going to resolve themselves.
We're fortunate in that I have a job to go to and we now have arrival accommodation sorted. Flights are booked and packers/movers arranged. All seems great doesn't it... except when you consider that we are currently on our FOURTH set of house buyers for our property.
Three previous potential buyers, all made offers, which were accepted and even allowed us to get considerably down the line before pulling out (for financial reasons they say) and leaving us up sh*t creek.
Well, this one is progressing but I doubt we're going to get to completion, or even exchange before we leave. (The house selling/buying business is so antiquated here!!). So, we're running a substantial (but is acceptable..?) risk in that we going to be eating into our savings and waiting for the house sale to come through once we're in Wellington.
Anyway, putting all that aside for now - we've been approved..!!
