We have just been lucky enough to sell our house and will be moving in to rented until our move to New Zealand.

If you have outstanding Credit Card amounts do these have to be paid off before you move to New Zealand?

Hi... before leaving the UK, I checked with Barclays about what to do with my bank account/credit card when living in NZ. On their recomendation, I changed my UK address to the one in NZ & kept the bank accounts & credit cards live. We planned on returning for a quick trip (& did so last August) and it was handy having some cash & UK credit cards handy rather than transfer $NZ with the exchange rate against us.

It's handy having the credit crads, etc available for Xmas presents and all purchases & credit card payments can be done over the net.

Barclays/Barclaycard mail me the statements to NZ without any extra charges.

Hope this helps
