I hope someone here can help.

My W2R application was sent to London for review my the medical review board, My employer is an accredited employer. Will the fact that the offer is with an accredited employer help to expedite things?

Is it realistic to think that we may already have a response before the end of the month? or is the back log to great?

Also, are they less strict on medicals for work permit that for PR?

Thanks
Pieter

Hi we can down on a WP first. One of the blood results was OK by our DR but 1 mark outside the norm. The whole thing was sent to Wellington for review and it took 4 weeks to get a result.

We are now going down the PR route and the only difference seems to be the Police Certs....

An accredited employer does not need to prove they cannot source someone already in NZ for the job, so there is one less hurdle and one less thing that NZIS need to verify, so I would expect that to improve the time line slightly, though not necessarily by a large amount.

As Eternalkiwi has said it will and it won't. OH became principal applicant in Nov as our WP's were coming to an end. She was told that it would take 20 days from start to finish but eneded up being close on 9 weeks due to her meds having to go to the med board. Whether you have a WTR,PR, or WP if there is somehting not right with the meds it will be reviewed by the med board.

Hi All,

Really dumb question but I haven't been able to find it answered anywhere yet. Does anyone know what hours case officers in Welly actually work?

I am waiting for some news back at the moment but the days already feel long enough while I wait for the phone to ring without knowing when I can reasonably assume that nothing is going to happen.

Thanks all.

M
