For those of you moving to Wellington--you must check out the community of Eastbourne. People here commute by ferry to Wellington (or by bus) and it has a wonderful feel.

Eastbourne really is great, the only thing that would put me off is that when we get a southerly storm the road in and out can be closed, the ferry does'nt run either, i have had to cancel jobs before now as we could'nt get there untill the wind dropped, only happens very, very occasionally but something to bear in mind.

Just kind thing i looking for (want own space, and preferably furnished) and i love Eastbourne, but sadly its way too expensive for me :( my limit is $200 a week, and damned if i can find a decent 1bed place for that..
