Hi
This is my first post - hello everyone; I'm in the process of slogging up that hill slowly- ITA needs to be in by the end of March!
This is a query for all you guys who have had blood results that are slightly out of whack... hope someone can help
Have received my medical results and my blood tests show an elevated platelet count. This I am sure is related to a recent rip roaring chest infection (treated by GP - so it's on official records). I know from lurking that people advise that you get a consultant opinion to submit with the ITA to speed the process up. How do you go about getting a consultant - does it need to be an NZ immigration approved one - like the panel doctors?

Welcome Riddley, sorry I can't help with your question, but try posting it again here:

that part has just to do with medicals for immigration.

Actually, I had things out of whack too, but I'm in America, no panel doctors here, so I just saw any specialist. I'd imagine you are allowed to see any specialist in the UK too, since they can't have a panel doctor for every speciality. But did your GP mark that the findings were significant and want further tests? If they said it was no problem, then the immigration people probably won't care a bit. I guess it depends on how far out of the normal range you were?
