Hi everyone

Just thought I would let you know that on 15th Feb we sent away for UK police clearance and it came in the post on 10th March so I count that as being 24 days - actually I'm pretty impressed cos I expected it to take much longer than that.

Just thought someone out there might like to know that.

My UK police check took only a couple weeks, but my US FBI police check has taken almost 2 months so far with no sign of anything happening yet. I sent it registered mail, added a note asking for it back in six weeks, but did NOT include any kind of return envelope.

Another member recently got his/her US police check back in about a month by including a FedEx return envelope. So, if anyone reading this needs a police check from the US, I would recommend doing that. (I'm thinking about sending another request with a return envelope now.)

About US checks, sounds like lots of people in the forum suggest calling them, and asking for an update if it's taking longer than expected. Supposedly they are very helpful on the phone. I got my fbi done in 4-5 weeks without paying for courier (which included mailing it overseas).

I got my police check back today - it took 37 days.
