Well really stressed so please help. We are hoping to get NZQA papers off next week. If we do the fast track option how long will they take? We need to get ITA in by June...no problem or big problem? Thankyou all :wah

hmm... you can submit your ITA without your nzqa result.
Just indicate to your case officer that you're still waiting your nzqa assessment.
Fast track is a bit tricky, it will only speed up the internal NZQA process.
Mine took about 4 months, when I asked them, they said that they've sent the verification letter to the relevant institutions and waiting for the result, nothing else they can do about it. No fast track for this process.

Well, Belmont Babes, as you know, zxof is not up to date on the new ITA and NZQA rules!
Fast track supposedly gets the results back to you in fewer business days than the regular way...but, zxof is correct that there's no way to make the individual institutions respond to NZQA queries any faster...in spite of that, it's worth the extra $$ (in my humble opinion) to pay the fast track because even a week (or day) sooner could mean beating the ITA deadline.
If you get the NZQA in the mail in the coming days, you have a shot at it (use some form of express delivery to mail it and write a note in a covering letter to NZQA alerting them that your ITA is already in hand and depends on their kind but speedy results...!).
And I'll add, don't stress! But..I did my share of it...it's hard not to; ultimately, in the back of my mind, I realized that it will either happen or it won't, whether I spin my wheels or not!!
So, breathe, focus, tell yourself over and over, "I will get this done, and all shall be well."
And it will be!

No problem...I wish they'd stop changing the rules..this process is silly enough as it is!! I feel like my life has been temporarily taken over by beings from another planet!

Christine... those beings from another planet have seriously landed on my doorstep. They're stopping me eat and sleep normally. You are right to try to remain calm as it is out of my control. How long do you think though if I can send it off this weekend? Not sure which delivery company to use either as never had to use one before. Do you have to phone them to collect it from yourselves? Thankyou CJ :roll

Since you are in the UK, hopefully someone else can answer this question. Here in the US, there are several options, and some of them collect it from your house if you arrange or you can drop off at a location (most cities have several locations for a variety of couriers). I used FED Ex, and while they would have picked it up at my house, I chose to drive to the nearest location and let the customer service rep assist me with filling out the international waybill, which is basically the address label with all your info on it (to, from, delivery method, etc).
If you mail it this weekend, I would think, hope, you'd have your assessment back in two months, but I'm only guessing based on fast-track estimations, possible time on somebody's desk, etc. It varies from person to person (based on how many employers you have had, how many qualifications you sent, etc. I, for example, have three previous employers and two qualifications for them to verify).
Like I said earlier, enclose a cover letter telling them the rules changed just before your selection from the pool and you need your assessment in order to lodge the ITA (and tell them that deadline). I think if they can possibly rush things further, maybe they will for that reason. Worth a try! They are humans, after all! (but some on here might disagree with that!:laugh )
I'm still waiting for mine, but I only just sent for it three weeks ago (my EOI was drawn before the rule change, thank goodness, so I was able to get my ITA mailed off without it). I fast-tracked mine also, so I may hopefully hear something sooner rather than later.

We posted our using royal mail, overseas registeredd post, can't remember the correct name for it but it cost about £10. we then paid for the return courier service at $32 as it was about the same price and at lot less hassle than trying to send a pre paid courier bag

Just mailed my NZQA packet out yesterday. I kept delaying it because I am so nervous about sending original documents! Luckily, the assessment wasn't required for our ITA but I'll need it for employment.
I am also nervous because I will have three different addresses over the next three months. This month - still in the US, next month - driving to LA from Maine with the dogs and 4 year old, May - in Wellington at temp housing. I hope they send the original back to where I am when I am!
