I had a phone call today from NZ House telling me some of my medical results were missing and they also needed proof of my name change when I got married (30 years ago). No problem there, think I've got that sorted. But what really amazed me was on asking how soon I would be getting a case officer she said she WAS my case officer!! :raebanana
I only lodged my application on 9th February! 4 and half weeks ago! So obviously I asked how long till I get PR and she said once they get all the info, a couple of weeks till approved in principal and then PR.
They originally told me about 2 months to get case officer and up to 4 months after that till PR. So how good is that?!
We should be exchanging contracts on the house this week, and I've handed in my notice at work (1 month) so everything seems to be coming together brilliantly. At last. We've waited 2 years just to sell the house and now its all going mad! We could be there mid - end of April.
As I said at beginning... I Can't Believe It!!! Yeah! :raebanana

Now I'm really nervous - my OH's application went in on Feb 6 and we've not had any contact yet apart from the "thanks for your application" letter.

Nettie, did you have a job offer at all to speed up the process?

Well done!

No I'm going in on partner/family quota. Nobody's more surprised than me I can tell you. We did take the application ourselves to NZ House though so that may have cut some time off. Perhaps you'll hear very soon. I hope so, it's a horrible time isn't it?

I took our partnership application in person too... perhaps if all the medical stuff was there they don't have a reason to contact us yet, but it would be nice if they would as I had to turn a job down yesterday that I wouldn't be able to make it over in time to take up.

As you say it's probably because everything is present and correct. I don't suppose I would have heard anything either if mine had been. so in a funny sort of way I'm glad it wasn't if you get my drift! Mind you it's costing me 50 quid to get copy of my marriage certificate fast tracked to me. Talk about a money drain this immigration lark!:roll
