Thought I'd just write a little something about the impending movement of all my possessions.
On Tues the removal company (PSS) are coming to pack up all my belongings and stick them in a container for shipping to NZ.:raebanana I'd given a lot of thought to when I wanted this doing and was offered a date in Mid Apr. I'm arriving in NZ in May and thought it would be better to have everything arrive when I do and spend a few weeks in a bare house in the UK, knowing I can get everything sorted quickly at the other end. I didn't want to be waiting for weeks on end in NZ with nothing but the (metophorical) clothes on my back (and in my suitcase).
The company PSS have been really good so far, they've been in contact with me on a fairly regualr basis, the bloke who did the survey was pretty easy going and wasn't affraid to tell it like it is, warts and all. They have given me a load of information about the move, what to expect and lots of little tips on how to make the whole thing as painless as possible. The agent I've spoken to on the phone has been more than willing to give me advice on packing and gone into detail as to how they'll look after some of my more delicate items. I can't tell you how much its going to cost as all of my relocation is being paid for by my new employers, but I do know that as a single man, emigrating by myself, I don't even fill a whole container (sad isn't it). I do literally have the bare (male) essentials of large widescreen TV, computer and a selection of surfboards.
See you all on the other side:exit
