I am part way through completing my EOI form and have got to the part where it asks for number of children. I put 4 as this is the number I have although one will be 20 at the time of the move and indepentant and the second will be 19 and at Uni but would like to come after she has graduated. I then get to the part where I have to give my partners details and again am asked for his children - should I relist the same children (they are ours) as this seems a bit repetitive? Have I done something wrong?

I listed the same for both partner and me. Not sure if that was correct...

I put only one child on the EOI because only one said she wanted to go. It nagged me, though, to leave the one off because any number of things could happen and it would just be awful to have one child excluded from being able to join us permanently in NZ.

So, my youngest said she was NOT going up until I had the ITA in hand, then she said she's taking a year off uni and coming with us; I, luckily, could still add her to the ITA. So, even though she was not on the EOI, there was a place to add her on the ITA.

I do know that if they are not on the ITA, there's no going back and adding later. It's a done deal then.

As long as your adult child can be shown as financially dependant on you, they can be included on your application for residency. For example, if you are helping pay for college, providing food, health care, or other cost of living expenses, then that will be sufficient proof (as I have been told).

Once grated PR, each of you (seperately) must be in NZ before one year is up or the PR offer is null and void for whomever didn't make the deadline. If your child in college will not graduate within the year after you receive PR, perhaps she can come over to activate PR on semester break then return to college.

This is as much if I know. Maybe someone who is actually there with grown children will respond to give more info.

I added my daughter 19 still in the UK to my ITA and was told she should not be on it as she was working and therefore not dependant on us. We have had her removed. Waste of cost and medicals. If they want to join you later you can sponser them anyway,

I'd add them all, give them all the same chance. what they decide to do after that then is up to them, but if at a later date yoiu need to sponser them they are listed.
