We are flying with Quantas in just over a weeks time. What are they like to fly with ? Are they good with children (18mths, 5, 12) ?- Hoping OH will be travelling with us but there is a possibility i'll be doing it solo with him joining us later.

If I'm not mistaken (and you are flying from UK) you'll find that the first bit from UK to USA is actually a BA flight and the second bit will be Quantas.

They are OK as flights go .. not the best I've had but certainly not the worst! Good luck with it all!

We have always flown with Qantas from LAX to AUK. Our last trip was in January. I found them to be really friendly and great with the kids. That LAX Auckland leg is not usually too busy. When you get on board, spread out before takeoff so your 12 year old can have a whole row to lie down and sleep. If they see you switching they tell you to go back to your seats--but every time I've flown that flight, we've managed to get at least two four-seat rows to ourselves.

I've flown Qantas from Auckland to LA, as well as numerous times over to Australia. They've always been fine (and the meals are nicer than on AirNZ in my opinion).
