If you fancy brunch, there's an EXCELLENT French cafe in Karori (run by French people) which does a fantastic brunch.

For Chinese can also recommend Grand Century on Tory Street. Large place, so might be good for a group.

Brunch sounds like a good idea - Sunday mornings are always a good time for a cafe brekkie/lunch somewhere nice, plus you can bring the little uns too if necessary.

Or how about a meal out one evening if anyone fancies it?

Where abouts is everyone based? What dates are people free?

We're pretty free during the week (evenings) for a semi-quiet meal and few drinks, or next Saturday night (18th) for a big one ;) , or next Saturday or Sunday mornings for brunch?

How's everyone else fixed?

I was hoping early next year, but as I have lost my successful status (back to selected), and no sign of ITA, I am taking a more chilled view of things. Plan now is probably next summer - fit in well with my youngest leaving school anyway.

If money allows (just lost my job!), hoping to make a visit out there end of February..

re the internal flights - tell me about it! We flew up to Auckland last weekend and cos it was such late nitice, the 'only $89' fare they advertise everywhere were nowhere to be seen! :roll:

It's a shame you're away next weekend. We'll have to get our **** (sorry, bums!) in gear and arrange something in the new year maybe? Give everyone a bit more notice so we can arrange a weekend when everyone can make it. Then the Waitangi day meet up in Feb too that Carol is organising. Life's just one big party, eh! :laugh

Ah, that flight to Rotorua... When I checked at the beginning of the week it was about $110 single. By the time I got my act together and asked on Wednesday if I could get away early from work that Friday, the price had shot up to $220!!!!

Ah well, it'll be worth it to see my friend from the UK again - haven't seen her in three years!
