We're off to Waiheke for the weekend. Any suggestions of good things to do/see, places to eat? We've already booked Mudbrick for Sunday lunch.

Yay - Mudbrick is my fave place for a lazy Sunday lunch. I may well see you there as it is my plan to get taken there this weekend too...

As you're taking your car over, you can pretty much drive around the island in a loop to take in all the scenery. There are some stunning little coves and bays if you want to stop off for a swim. Lots of vineyards and tiny art galleries and studios to visit. There is a sculture park which is great to walk around.
Stony Batter is interesting - lots of tunnels and things built into the hills during WW2. You'll need a torch for this though.
Erm - I can't think what else. I always just laze about in cafes and restaurants and stuff my face full of yummy food when I go over...

SamB - I'm not sure what dates you are there for, but just got info about this comedy night on Saturday 31st March:
