sorry if this has been posted before but does anybody have a rough idea of how much per hour/per week a 21 year old would get working as a data entry clerk?

Thanks

JayHal

It would depend where, who with and qualifications.

Try going onto seek.co.nz, putting in data entry clerk and area you want to work and look at salaries of the jobs that come up.

One comment, this is a job that could be done by a NZ national,

In Auckland and Wellington I've recieved 12-14/hour for similar work (this was a couple of years ago). The higher rates tend to be through temp agencies, but you've got to balance that out with the down time between assignments.

This is on non-permanent jobs, with no relevent qualifications.

But JayHal is comiong to NZ on a WHV so it doesn't matter. He has a visa and can do any job once he can once he arrives in the country.

I'd agree with checking out the positions available on Seek and then contacting the agencies to see about the rate as these are often not included in the advertisement. Tell them that you have a date for your arrival and try to set up appointments with agencies for when you arrive.

I worked doing data entry through Hudson (temp agency) when I first arrived here, and I made $14/hr. Hope that helps.
