Cant believe it, we fly a week monday .....

Finish work and school friday, got loads to still do, furniture going slowly - very little left, feel like the poor relations!

Dont know how i feel, excited, nervous, anxious, happy .......

Parents in law still wont really accept it, say to change subject when little one mentions NZ ....

Anyone offer any advice ???

Hi Sharon,

I know just what you're going though as we were there just a few short months ago. Arrived in Chch on 10th Janaury so still very much newbies here :laugh

We had a similar situation with my husbands parents as his Mum was non too thrilled about us coming over here. She used to go very quiet when it was mentioned although his Dad was great. We had lots of tears but in the end they both realised that we have our own lives to live. My husband has two sisters still in the UK so his parents have not been deserted completely. His Mum hates flying and I mean HATES flying :wah and at first she said that she wouldn't come to see us. Since we left the UK though she's been out and got passports for them both and they are talking about coming over possibly for Xmas :yes .
Don't despair, I'm sure that you in-laws will come round eventually. Just try not to feel guilty.

Sharon (yes, another one!! :laugh )
