What's your favorite national e-news source and what's your favorite regional e-news source?

We read The New Zealand Herald. We used to check out the wedsite before we came out to keep updated on what was happening in NZ. www.nzherald.co.nz

e-news meaning online news? We get the Wellington newspaper delivered (The Dominion Post) and online for national news/opinion I read http://www.scoop.co.nz

I don't read any online regional news but wotzon.com is great for wellington entertainment listings & I read wellingtonista.com which is a blog for (as they put it) "random stuff about New Zealand's Capital".

We get a Sunday Herald, read our two local papers (Eastern Courier, Pak & Howick Times) and thats about it, we check the Herald online as well.

For world events we tend to stick with Sky or BBC online.

As I'm still in the UK, I'm also a www.stuff.co.nz reader. I used to work for that newspaper group so it's a firm favourite - but I also tend to cross-reference stories with the TVNZ and TV3 news websites and Scoop (but that's a pretty anorak thing to do that I doubt non-journos would think about)

Depending on where I end up in NZ I'll get the local daily paper delivered - which will probably be the Southland Times, the Otago Daily Times or the Press.
I don't like the Herald, but that's because it rarely has decent coverage of the South Island (not surprising considering it's Auckland based!)

Used to be a xtra.msn.co.nz before they ceased to exist. :(

Now I use "Stuff" as well.

Today, I am reading the Herald as my 6 year old nephew has his photo in it. :).

The Herald usually. Sometimes dip into Stuff.
I tend to read the UK papers and the BBC more as they tend to actually cover world news rather than just NZ news.
I do check the Whats On in Auckland guide online as well, for details of upcoming events and gigs.

LOL, you're not alone with the cross-referencing - I do that with the UK newspapers on a regular basis! (And it always makes me wonder how people who only read the Daily Mail leave their houses every day - their world is so much worse than other people's! :laugh)
