Bit of a change of plan from our "we'll rent for six months and then think about buying" - as we've only been in the country four weeks, but there you go! - plans are made to be changed, right...:laugh

Anyway, here's the link for anyone that's interested (might have to copy it in to browsers, - I'm no good with links)

not quite as flash as some people's, but its four beds with a double garage, set in just under four acres and still less money than our two bed flat back in the UK!

assuming all the valuations etc go well, should be moving in on May 10th, or a little bit before in we can talk them into an earlier settlement.

Will have to get round to writing my four week in post soon! Can't quite believe that we've only been here four weeks and achieved so much - it sure is so much easier to get stuff done here - all of it! :clap

thanks everyone.. just need to keep my fingers crossed that all the inspections/valuations etc go o.k.. and yes, once we're in and settled, all the Christchurch bunch are more than welcome to come over for tea/coffee/wine as appropriate, with kids, dogs, etc! its not quite sumner, but we can get a paddling pool and pretend :laugh

Great news on the house Sophia, you must be really happy :clap and enjoy the househunting. I saw some great places..some that we couldn't really afford, some we decided were too far out, - and some were just too darn big!

That place looks lovely - and nice stretch of land too. I love how it says "Olives in Ohoka" considering your cat's name and wasn't that the name of where you stayed when you first arrived?
