Hello,

might be worth looking at holiday homes, I know several people (including us) who've followed that route. They are sometimes cheaper than hotels etc and will often give you a good rate for a couple of months. Many of them are fully furnished which is great if you are waiting for a container, so have linen, towels, pots and pans etc...

if you do some searches , think there are a few threads with some good websites.

I'll also pm you with details of where we are..in case it fits the bill...

We stayed in a small holiday cabin just 10 min from downtown. Simple little cooking area. bunks for the kids. very modest. good until about June when it gets cold...until then a little space heater took off the chill. We stayed in the cabin from Feb to June 6...when we moved into our new home.
It cost us $179 week. Had a shower, toilet, and 2 burner cook top. No stove. DId have a 1/2 fridge.
you can email for details if you are interested.
