Hi
I have been trying to work out if i need a return journey if you have one of the above visas. I hvae read somewhere that if the visa states, 'outward passage waived' or words similar to that affect that I can enter NZ on a one way ticket.
Now MY WHV does state teh above words which i take as meaning i can enter on a one way flight, I hope.:)
Does anyone know if the PR visa or Work permit also states the above phrase in the visa itself, and has anyone entered NZ with a one way flight only?
thanks for your help guys. :)

Yes, that's right. My husband's work visa had "outward passage waived" and he came in on a one way ticket.

Did you get your WP before going out though? We're going to apply when we arrive in NZ (have job offer waiting) so does it mean we need a 2way ticket? Haven't time to do an application here.

yes - you'll be arriving on a visitors visa so you need a return ticket.

Don't actually have either to be honest but will hopefully have WP before we enter, I do however have the whv in the worst case scenario :)
It sounds like you will have the visitor visa and therefroe you will need a return flight.
