I just received a letter from NZIS saying my application has been approved in principle :clap - I'm shocked, I can't believe how quickly it was processed, and I'm scared because now I actually have to make the move ;)

For anyone else out there applying through the partnership process then it may be quicker than you think. I sent me application on March 2nd and Received my Approval in Principle this morning dated 10th April! So today is 6wks to the day I posted it off. Definitely quicker than the time frame I was quoted.

Wow - I'm so excited!

Thank you all!

I thiknk it might take a while to sink in, I was expecting things to be far more complicated, thats just our luck. Phew

Patricia - fortunately one thing we dont have to worry about is the stress of selling a house, its the only advantage to not having yet scrambled onto the first rung of the property ladder. Flightd and shipping the entire contents of our house will be enough to keep us busy for a while i think. :-)

Fingers crossed for you! I read on this forum of someone else who had applied a few weeks before me and had received their partnership visa in 8wks. So it should be your turns soon. :)

My original acknowledgement letter said it could be upto 2mths to allocate to a visa officer and then final decision in the 2-4 mths following that. So I'm pretty happy with 6 wks! (understatement of the century!)

Right, one way flights to Nz.....:exit

Great feeling isn't it? I was quoted the same time scales as you and got mine start to finish in 8 weeks. Like you I couldn't believe it. We are now 10 days to take off and I think I've just about sorted every thing (something is sure to pop out of the woodwork).:roll
I can't wait to be on the plane so I can relax and forget the last couple of weeks of stress.

Congrats again.

I don't mind at all - it was Victoria Smith apparently but the first I've heard from here was today when I read my approval letter.

It's a fantastic feeling Nettie yes! I think it was your post I saw that got me all excited and hopeful my application would be quick :) You must be getting so excited now about moving.

It feels so daunting looking at booking one way flights.
