can anyone recommend how we find rental accomodation ?

tried trade me and looked at few agencies

advised there may be a rental properties magazine (?) out but was unsure how to locate it ??

Property Press is available from stands outside estate agency offices but it's often out of date before it's printed.
Local papers first thing in the morning (or the rentals are gone!) are a source, or Trade Me but the best is estate agencies, unless you have word of mouth, I reckon.

I know it's hard, but I can only reiterate Gils post.....

Also, talk to as many people as you can, even strangers in the supermarket. Its amazing how people know people who knows someone.

Another word of advice if I may and that is remember that everything seems to be negotiable here, even the rent.
I know it's not necessarily in our British nature to haggle, but if you don't ask, you don't get.

Hi Sharon,

Get todays Hawkes Bay, there are usually lots of rentals in on sat, what you looking for? furnished or not. I havethe paper from weds thurs and fri, i know i saw 2 furnished places here in Havelock, along with a few unfurnished, and lots for napier and hastings,i will dig them out and have a look for you. There seems to be quite a lot of rentals at the moment, just be careful with the areas you choose.
