Hey everybody,

Does anyone know the holiday schedule of NZIS? Do consulate offices or embassies follow the same schedule?

Going on my case officer she seemed to have 48 weeks holiday a year. You would of thought that they would follow standard civil servant times

my case officer is on leave until christmas.

I sent him emails inquiring and apparently his email doesnt have a return reply that says he's out of the office. And I only discovered that he was on leave when I called him up long distance. It was even only a voice mail that answered me.

SOmetimes its frustrating coz time and money are wasted.

Had I known earlier that he was on leave then maybe that would have also saved me courier cost. :uhoh

got a response from NZIS regarding their holiday schedule:

"NZIS from within New Zealand and Australia will be closed for the holidays from December 27th, reopening January 5th. You will need to contact the individual Consulate/Embassy for holiday schedules located outside of New Zealand."

just thought some of you would like to know...
