We have had our EOI selected (SMC), with a job offer and 150 points, in the 11th April pool. Does anyone have an idea of how long it will take to an ITA and from then to PR? We have medicals and police checks sorted out.

Also, we've seen mention of interviews. Is this part of the SMC process, as we couldn't find anything about them on the immigration website.

Any help appreciated.

Or at least - noone has asked us yet, and we are a few days from decision time (according to our case officer - fingers crossed)

Ours was 3 months from selected to PR & plane. But we had all of the paper work sorted so there was no delay in posting back the application. Don't think you get an interview if you have a job offer.

We done being selected:clap

2 weeks until ITA arrived, returned it completed the next day. Then 3 weeks until we got PR. So 5 weeks altogether.

If OH gets a job offer out of his reccie trip this week it would tip us over the 140 points barrier. The idea that we could then get our PR in as little as 6 weeks is VERY scary! Only just told my parents we're emmigrating (or at least doing everything we can to make it a reality) and they are still in shock. Haven't put the house on the market yet, OH and I both on a months notice, 5yr old just started summer term in Reception etc etc.... oh my!

Then again we don't have any paperwork sorted yet so I guess that would slow things down (she says hopefully).

Don't get me wrong.... I'm really looking forward to our new live in NZ but I kinda had it in my head that I'd have time to do a big sort out.. prepare our son a little... have several BIG parties.

Enough rambling I think I need a drink!

See the post I made on Friday. It can be done quickly. Good luck. Andy.

Sorry, didn't say ... the post was 'It CAN be done....in 2 months'. Feeling a bit delicate today. We had a leaving party last night (bit emotional) and then finished up at a neighbour's house 'til 4am. So much to do and arrange before the 10th May (when we fly) but today is a total write off.
