Hi

Sorry if already been told this on earlier forum, but...........

Medicals. :uhoh We are going to obtain a work permit (as have job offer) and require medicals. Now as we also need a x-ray, do we need to go to a normal dr's surgery and then they will redirect us to a hospital for the x-ray OR do we get a consultation at a hospital and get everything done on the same day.

A little confused as to how long all of this takes and where exactly to get all the lovely paperwork filled in and with whom.

Thanks 4 any replies
:)

We went to one in birmingham and they did everything in one place, xrays the lot. Saved a lot of hassle running about all over.

Cheers Cardy

if you are already in NZ you usually need to go to the Dr first have the medical and he will give you a referal for to take tto the x-ray place and will tell you where to go.

As Nicola has said where are you? If your in UK then you will have to go to a panel doctor for the meds, and as Cardy has said they do the lot. Now if your here then your local quack will do. As for the paperwork, its all done by the doc.

Good luck.

HI

With so much going on I forgot to mention we are in Christchurch.
I have made an appointment with a doctor for tomorrow but I was not sure about the x-ray part really and how early you can get this appointment.

I think I just it to crack on and get this work permit.

At least in Wellington, you don't need a referral - you just call up the x-ray place and tell them it's for immigration.
