Hi,

I have applied for NZ immigration under the skilled migrant category.
My EOI was selected in Feb'07 and I received an ITA. I have sent all
my docs to the visa officer and currently the application status shows
- Application Received. I have few questions regarding the same.

1. How much time does it take to get a visa / PR from from the
Application Received stage?
2. I'm applying under skilled migrant (IT Security / Information
Security ), would I need to appear for any face to face interview with
the visa officer?
3. Earlier (Nov 06), we (My wife & I) had applied for visa under
family reunion category as my in-laws are in NZ. However, the
application was RETURNED as she didn't have a job offer-requirement
for family reunion adult child and our application and money were sent
back. Would this have any impact on my current application ?
4. I would also like to know about the job scene for IT security / Information Security / IT auditing

1. it depends on which office your application is processed by. london is currently processing applications from early feb. add a few weeks for a decision - maybe 3 months total.

2. you will need an interview if you do not have a job. whether it is face to face or not is up to the case officer. if english is not your first language it is likely to be face to face. if it is your first language its more likely to be over the phone. there are some exceptions (eg south african applications are normally face to face) - you could really help people answering q's by the way if you put where you are from in your profile!

3. no i wouldn't think this would make any difference.
