Do they sell poppies for ANZAC day ? if so where? I've not seen any so far.

Is there normal a service at the local church? I understand that there is a big dawn service somewhere but what about local services?

My kids are in the local brass band and they play at the 6am service and a 9am service at the town hall hymns are sung and the uk and nz national anthems are sung followed by the nz one in Maori. it is always well attended and they get old service people to recount there stories. We really enjoyed our first one last year.

My son bought a poppy today at the local Dairy.

School is doing a special service next week ,and some children from school are going to lay a wreath at the Anzac parade.

Hope its better weather this year ,as it rained last year.

PS I had some of Jubjub's Anzac bicces today too .......they were yummy.

Made from Kiwidebs recipe!

I have not seen any poppy sellers out yet, I remember last year they were in the malls, but not until nearer the day.
