Has anybody bought a car in NZ without having a permanent address straight away?

We used motel's address where we stayed for first week (with their permission of course)

we used a relative's address, with no problems.

We used our temporary bach address (without their permission!), but made sure the postal address was the PO Box so we could still get the documents etc...
