HI ALL

It has been a long time since my last post which is in fact when our EOI was removed from selection. But I regulary read the very informative postings.

Today I need some HELP, I have been doing a lot of application trying the job offer route. So I am actually considering a proposition (forgive me I won't be able to give details right now) and there a few things that are not quite clear & I want to make sure I understand it right .

What do you understand by .

"handling your own income reporting"

"Compensation includes the following: Base Payments fortnightly at $40K."

"Incentive program for cost containment and incremental revenues : paid vacation"

thks a lot

To provide an accurate reply, it would be helpful to have more information.

Generally speaking the 3 sentences relate to:
- You will provide reports on the income you generate
- You have a base annual salary of $40,000 paid fortnightly (two weekly)
- You can receive bonuses for meeting certain targets

I think this means you are responsible for paying your own tax, as opposed to PAYE organised by your employer.

"Incentive program for cost containment"
I believe cost containment is about reducing overheads in order to maximise profit, but without compromising on level of service?

I'm guessing this is some kind of franchise opportunity? You might like to ask more specifically, as I'm sure at least one person on here has bought one. Don't be afraid to say, many people have wild and wonderful ways of getting here, and folks on this forum are usually willing to help :)

Hi Jaycee

thks for the reply. In fact it is management of a small motel but the proprietor will start making his choice 3 months before opening and with this time frame we will never be able to finalize all papers if ever we are accepted. we need 3-6mths, so there is no way and I am a bit down.

If the employer has followed a reasonably standard process in selecting they would easily be able to prove you are the most suitable candidate and no-one else currently available for work in NZ is a better applicant. This could enable a work visa to be issued with 3 months.

If it is possible for you to visit NZ first and complete your visa application process here could also shorten the time-frame.
