Can anyone recommend where we can rent items, such as tv especially until our boxes arrive ??

We are moving to a place on sunday and especially need another tv, as hubby and little one always quarelling on wha they want to watch ??

Tried a few electrical places, but you have to supply them with details of family/friends in NZ as a guarantor, and we dont know anyone just yet, as only been here 2 weeks. Also, think bit of cheek just putting someone down you hardly know.

Can anyone help ??

You could try Mr Rental. They are recommended by lots of people as cheap and reliable.

You'd have to check and see if they have a store locally to you - there are certainly lots in the Auckland area.

If you cant find someone who will rent to you, have you considered buying a cheap second hand one for now? you can pick up one from Trade me for $50 and you can always sell it on after your own stuff arrives.

have you tried DTR? they asked for references. we explained we'd just emigrated and they said that was fine and just put a line through that section on the form.
