am paring down in prep to leave and find we have an expensive pile of baby stuff (including first toys) that are as new/ unused/ in very good condition. am thinking that people expecting to have children in next year or so who are shipping their stuff might want to consider buying a chunk of it. imagine baby bjorn carrier, samsonite travel cot etc would be expensive in nz, and many of these things would be difficult/impossible to find.

just a thought. if you or someone you know is interested pls pm me in next couple of weeks.

Your right, baby stuff does seem expensive out here.

I have a few things that we bought out for our 6mth old when we arrived that we are no longer using, namely ELC Playgym, Bumbo plus a few others. They all seem terribly expensive here or not available!

How about ebay?

We are currently doing the same. Everything in the house is put in a category:

To go in suitcase
Ship
Car Boot
Ebay
Storage
Bin

I put a couple of my guitars up for £50 each and got £185 for one and £110 for the other! This all helps offset airfare and shipping costs
