Hi All,

I need to apply for a UK police clearance.("need police clearance from all countries which you have lived in for more than 12mths in thelast 10 years) I have read that the UK doe not issue "police clearance" but you have to complete a "Data Protection" for where you request information from there database. There is a fee of 10pounds....my question is how can one pay this 10pounds if living in NZ. They say they do not accept overseas cheques and cash is not advisable? Anyone know if a bank draft is acceptable????????

looking forwards to your replies and thanks for the help!

Speak to your bank - they might be able to help.

I had a similar situation in that I had to send a cheque to South Africa for our police checks there but the fee had to be in South African Rands currency but we live in the UK and had no way of doing that. I spoke to my bank and she said that some banks have agreements and they could send a bankers draft in the foreign currency but it's not available all over the world and depends on which bank?? So it's not too straight forward but ask them, they might know.

Howzit Sir

How do you go about getting the clearance from UK police? Is there a website?

We are a step behind you in the process.
Are you still in SA and where are you settling?

Good Luck
