I love futon beds, are they a popular item in NZ that I will be able to find? Or should I pack them all from here in the US?

We have been here 4 weeks now and I cant say that I have seen any futons, we have been in enough furniture shops recently and only seen normal beds, there are bed settees though. We packed our futon, our furniture should be docking in Auckland 28th Dec.
