Last night for the computor as JM arrive in the morning.I'll be looking to get back with you lot a.s.a.p. when in NZ. Just a few words before I go. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE WEALTH OF INFO,SUPPORT AND AMUSING COMPANIONSHIP. The past year leading up to this moment has been full of events for me. A poingnant one is my mother became seriously ill and was admitted to a nursing home.On top of all the NZ organising, I had to sell her property, tidy up her affairs and organise her complex health care, Three days after the sale, Mum deteriorated & within the week was gone. I like to think she finished business(as it were so to speak) to allow me to leave without hindrance. She always looked out for her children. That leads me on to a particular comment I've been waiting to post. All you parents out there are heroes. I simply do not know how you've done it with the little folks in tow.The preparation for the move & that horrendous long haul to boot. I salute you and to everyone else who's struggled, wept, fretted or ran the whole gamut of emotions. :clap xx

Good bye and good luck - see you on the other side!!! What a lovely post. I say that with empathy because my own mother is now in hospital and we are waiting for 'the phone call'. We haven't told her our plans because nothing this end is certain yet about our move. Life sends us in some strange directions. Enjoy the journey.

Good Luck with the move.

So sorry to hear for your loss. It is gut wrenching taking children away from family, for us a very hard but necessary decision to give them a better future.

Here's to a new chapter in your life, looking forward to reading about your first thoughts of NZ :clap

I've had to cope with settling my father's affairs after he died & remember what an emotional time it was; to do it on top of your move, I think you're a bit of a hero yourself! Best wishes for a safe journey -

Feel for you lass. We did the move and knowing that my sis had just been diagnosed with cancer, not once did she hold it against me for whipping off 12000 miles to leave her to suffer, unfortunately she lost her battle 3 weeks into the move. She had kept how ill she was away from me, possibly knowing we would have postponed the move and stayed.
Anyway on a positive note, hope the move is all you could want.
