Just curious, has anybody here been denied IRRV, and if so, what were the circumstances? (just trying to calculate my odds of obtaining IRRV).
Thanks! :yes

Have you been out of the country a lot? If not then I would say there is no worry. We actually got a 12 month extension as I HAD to get something before a work trip to China. Went to Immigration on Queen St and had a good chat to the lady there - 12 month extension added in 10 mins and work paid. She then added that we could pop in anytime after the 2 year anniversary to get IRRV. No need for a few months yet though :) I'll see if I can get work to apy again next time :)

Good luck Moorf - I seriously doubt you'll have any probs! We got our IRRV just before Xmas & I think they're just wanting to know that you've settled & are staying here and haven't committed any great crimes in the meantime! - they weren't particularly interested whether hubby was still in the same job he came over here on job offer with, they didn't want any proof of anything (i.e. copies of docs or anything) - they just wanted both of us to sign the form & to have our passports there - took 15 minutes after the hour's wait in line to see an immigration officer - but you can post it in - I just prefered to drop into the Welly NZIS whilst passing.

Thx for the replies everyone. Sounds pretty straightforward. I'm actually still waiting for the shiny blue stickers, so I have at least 2 years to go. Just trying to plan ahead.
Sounds good moorf - not long to go! :clap

I need to apply in about 9 months time and I may have some problems, so I'll let you know how I make out when the time comes. I spoke with NZIS and they seemed to think if I have a job then my chances are good.
