Just wondered if anyone could answer this question. We submitted our EOI Mid March 2007 and it was selected right away with 140 points. We received a letter from NZ Immigration last week saying that our EOI had been passed to London for 'further consideration' :roll My OH is an Electrician and I am a Teacher.

We have no job offers as yet however, I thought we would have heard by now about EOI 'successful' or not? Is it normal to take this long..........

Should we worry? :wah

From the NZIS London Branch website re: Skilled migrant applicants without job offers:

Your Expression of Interest (EOI) will be assessed within three months of being selected from the pool. We will then contact you, either inviting you to apply for residence or requesting further information.

It's all about the waiting it seems. :( Hang in there.

Patience has never been one of my virtues either and I remember only too well how I used to check the immigration site every day - oh alright, I'll admit it - 3 or 4 times a day !!

Keep your chin up - it'll all be worth it eventually.........honestly !!

Waiting is a nightmare - we had decision successful 3 months to the day after being selected!

Mine was selected and sent to london for processing back on 11/4/2007 . A guy who applied at the same time as me was rejected 3 days ago by London, same position as me 130 points no job offer. He was put back in the pool as he had a HND not a degree which was the wrong level.

I guess as long as you have'nt been rejected you are in with a chance.

Ours was through within three days of sellection, some have taken weeks, enjoy the short rest. It gives you time to get the paperwork sorted out ready for the next onslaught.
