May be a dumb question but if anyone has printed this out and used this, did you use card stock or plain paper? Does it matter?
My police department says they can do fingerprints, but don't carry cards to do so. *lol* ;)

you can use plain paper I think. As a suggestion send multiple finger prints as the FBI automated system can reject finger prints and you lose time.Even if you send multiple prints they dont charge extra. In case one gets rejected they use the next one.Hope this helps

We used plain paper. We had an "evidence technician" do our prints and he was very careful that they were of good quality. Also, if you put a "needed by" date on the cover letter you will get it sooner.

Hi, confirming I too used plain paper (Office Max regular bond) to print out the FBI form.

I don't know about the paper, but put the 'need by' date on the outside of the envelope. Since the changes in passport requirements, that will not even do any good unless you have extenuating circumstances.... like a job offer.

We're already in NZ & finally got our FBI checks back last week, only 4 months 3 weeks after we'd sent them off:roll We hadn't put a date on them (hadn't read anything about the FBI then) but had written on "time sensitive due to immigration circumstances".

Thanks everyone for the responses. We'll send multiple finger print copies just in case - thank you, Checkout!
All these delays however make me wish we'd done this sooner - before all the passport requirements, etc.! :o
