Hi all:
Just wanted to give you an update on the company we used to ship from the U.S. to New Zealand. We dropped our 17 boxes off at a warehouse in Salt Lake City on the 19th of March and got on our plane the next day. We did the MAF clearance, Customs clearance, destination charges payment ($150 NZD), and collection all in just three hours on the 26th of April.
MAF cleared us based on our very detailed inventory list, in spite of us bringing in bulk teas and other potentially questionable items--it seems that it pays to simply be up-front and honest. Customs saw we had 'over the counter medicines' listed and queried us on what those might be--for a little bit I was sweating it because we didn't get quite that detailed on the inventory! But they waived us through after a short discussion.
Anyway, very pleased with UPakWeShip's performance as well as that of their selected subs...I'd recommend them. Also happy MAF was not as onerous as they might have been, or have at times been described. Alll around, five weeks to get our stuff seems pretty good to us.
