Hi All,
I'm working out my points (again) after my degree issue.

I was wondering if this seemed ok.

- No offer of employment
- 7 Years work experience in IT as an IT analyst / consultant 20 points
- 10 bonus points for work in an area of future growth
- Degree Ba(hons) in Business and IT (I doubt NZQA will assess it as an IT degree) 50 points
-Age 25 points (30 - 39)
- 10 points (my wife's degree)

115 points. With 10 points for work experience in an area of future growth.

It seems claiming the extra 5 bonus points for a relevant degree is'nt going to work as NZQA are unlikely to assess it as a Bsc in IT.

With this I also should'nt have to get my qualification assessed by NZQA as being relevant to my trade. I was sure I had 130 points on my original application and it's -5 for the degree but I can't think where I got the extra 10 points from.....

as i said on your other thread you will lose your 10 points for work exp in area of skills shortage too. so you will have 105.

Not what I wanted, but, at least I have a clearer idea.
Seeing as my EOI has been selected it might just be a good idea to get hold of NZIS london branch and advise them of this.

We had 125 points with EOI then knocked back down to 75 points with ITA. So we have managed to get enough paperwork to support our original points with work ref and jobs here etc. We got our blue stickers yesterday so its worth pursuing. You baiscally need a job here and get the extra 50 points.
