Hi,
I ran into a little problem as I was filling out my EOI. I have a bachelors, about 10 years of work experience, but no experience in NZ nor a job offer. Im stuck at 90 points, and need 10 more (I believe). I only scored points for my degree, my work experience, and I think a low amount for just entering my name and such.
Any ideas on how I would go about obtaining 10 more points?
Thanks in advanced for any help!

you need a job for 50 points. Or a partner.

basically as angela says you need a job offer. even if you had 100 points - which is the minimum for applying you would have effectively no chance of being selected. a job offer would guarantee you selection.

Thanks for the help, so it seems as if I really do need a Job offer.
I do have a friend in Tauranga that is willing to give me a job, sort of "a job on paper" but I do not plan on actually working there (as it is a bit far from Auckland). Would this possible work?
I do plan on getting a job (that is my goal), however I have been applied for Jobs from abroad and have had no luck. I think it would be much easier to do once I am already there. Any ideas?

You qualify for basic points if you have an offer of a job in what the NZIS considers "skilled employment" so the job offer from your friend can't be for just any old thing. But your friend would need to fill out a form and prove that they'd advertised in NZ and that no NZer could fill the post... which could be tricky to prove depending on the job.
Why not have a read through the process and suitable jobs on the NZIS website?:

also if you apply with a job offer you then get issued PR with a condition attached (called a section 18 condition) then you have to prove that you worked in that job for 3 months before that condition is removed and you get given your full PR

The job offer has to be legitimate and you have to take up the job when you arrive... you can't go on fake job offers - when you submit your EOI, they will check it out, and you don't want to get on the wrong side of the NZIS. :no
